Eagan Dumpster Fire: Firefighters Blocked by Gawking Drivers

Eagan firefighters responded to a construction dumpster fire Wednesday afternoon near the new Hy-Vee on Central Park Commons Dr.

Eagan fire's response was slightly delayed due to the number of vehicles blocking the driveways to the stores while motorists took photos and video of the fire, city officials say.

Officials want to remind residents to keep pathways open for the city's large fire apparatus coming into an emergency scene, and to take photos from a safe distance away from the egress.
