Eagan Funfest Ambassador Candidates will Find Opportunity for Community Connections

Ambassador Emma Anderson Finds Self Confidence and New Opportunities Through Connections Made as an Ambassador

Hello, this is Emma Anderson, one of your 2016-2017 Eagan Funfest Ambassadors checking in after another great month. As spring is starting to roll around, we have been doing many fun activities. This past Saturday, the other ambassadors and I attended the Community Connections event at the Eagan Community Center. It was so heart-warming to see the wonderful organizations in Eagan and the change they create in our community. At this event, we were also searching for great young men and women to be ambassadors for this following year. If you love to volunteer, or know someone who loves to volunteer, encourage them to join our candidate program! This is a great way to connect with your community and it’s lots of fun I might add! The ambassador program has given me so much self confidence and I love having connections to the other wonderful organizations in my community. Even though I have always loved volunteering, this program has opened my eyes to new opportunities that I didn't were out there. In fact, at an event early in the fall I had the chance to meet a state representative who encouraged me to apply for the High School Page Program. A few weeks ago I spent the week at the capitol in St. Paul learning about government and its functions. I'm looking forward to seeing what else the Ambassador Program has in store and can't wait to meet our candidates this spring!
