Ambassador Genesis Scott Talks about Participating in Local Holiday Events

Welcome back readers, Genesis Scott here one of your 2018-2019 Eagan Funfest Ambassadors on the road to blogging duty once again!
On the not so spooky side of Halloween, my crown sisters and I stopped to volunteer at the Eagan YMCA’s annual Trick or Treat Street. Besides meeting many fun kids while on the dance floor we got down and funky with lots of fun activities. We got in the spirit with fun colored pom-poms, inflatable guitars, inflatable microphones for lip-sync duals, hula hooping, and of course the classic game of Limbo! Hanging out with all those kids dressed in costume sure made our time running the games a blast, and made for a great night of family fun!
Of course with December right around the corner we start to think about Christmas time and gift giving. Every year the Ambassadors are tasked with filling our carts to the brim for military families who have a parent(s) serving our country. Can you imagine being let loose in a toy store to shop for a kid just like you? It was like a game show trying to find the perfect gift for Santa to give to all the military kids! After some serious shopping we ended up with a trunk full of gifts to distribute and full hearts too. I can’t wait to distribute all the toys and see the look on the kids’ faces when they get to meet Santa and pick out a gift!
