Eagan Funfest Ambassadors Making a Difference
Ambassador Eden Anderson Says Volunteering Helps the Community

My name is Eden Anderson and I am extremely excited for this year as one of Eagan’s Funfest Ambassadors. I was the first to be called for the fish bowl question. The emcee asked, “why do you want to be a Eagan Funfest Ambassador”. I said, I wanted to try something new and help others. On coronation night I was excited and nervous too. I talked with visiting royalty and had pictures taken with many visiting communities.
After the emcee’s questions we watched the rest of the coronation. Soon it was time for the judge’s decision. First, Emma’s name was announced, then Autumn was called to the stage, the third name called was Makenzie’s. Then the emcee announced “the final ambassador is…” At this point I was nervous, but then the emcee called Eden Anderson. I was very excited to be one of the 2016 Eagan Funfest Ambassadors. I was especially proud because I am the youngest ambassador.
Since the coronation we have participated in several events. The most recent was the Open Door Pantry for National Night Out. I had lots of fun. We had our faces painted as soon as we arrived. We were there to help volunteer with the bouncy house and obstacle course. I enjoyed helping all the kids and helping the community. It was fun to meet the Eagan fire department at the event.
I am very lucky to be part of this group of Ambassadors. We have only just begun our year of service. But we are already become friends and are excited for the year to come.
Thank you
