Eagan Funfest Ambassadors Nearing End of a Year of Service

Ambassador Julia Carstens Shares Some Thoughts about Her Year

My year:

Being an Ambassador was great the whole year starting with the candidacy program. We had so many different events like parades, coronations and community events to attend

Throughout the year we did different volunteer work. Most of the time the volunteer work was around the city of Eagan. My personal favorite volunteer events were at Holz farm. We got to go there 3 different times!

This year I was an ambassador with four other people, Aaron, Jillian, Lauren and Madeline. We made many great memories.
Last year I had to go to a Candidacy process, which the new recruits are doing now. It taught us how to do and present ourselves. We learned how to set up the float, sit and act, and fundraise for different things.
Our most recent event was at the Commons on Maurice. We went to their Spring Gala. It was fun to dance and mingle with the residents. My favorite memory was of this 94 year old man “getting down” with Madeline & Jillian.
My year has been full of fun!

Julia Carstens, 2017-2018 Eagan Funfest Ambassador
