Eagan Funfest Ambassadors Prepare to Pass on Crowns
Ambassador Jillian Anderson Shares What She has Learned from the Program

When I review the past year, it’s amazing to think of all the change that has occurred. On July 10, 2017 my fellow ambassadors and I were crowned. After an exhilarating candidate process, I was overjoyed to be chosen. When the candidate process began, I was told that I would grow a lot with my involvement in this program. At that point, I figured that I wouldn’t because I already felt so grown and matured. I was wrong. The ambassador program can change anyone. Whether it helps you to gain confidence, make more friends, or to learn that being with the right people makes everything memorable.
The Ambassador Program has brought my fellow ambassadors and me to numerous volunteer and community events that previously, we wouldn’t have known about or attended. One example of this is the Holz Farm events. We’ve attended two so far and have been blown away by how much fun these events are. They always have something fun to help out with like demonstrating how to do laundry the old fashioned way or helping young kids to make “reindeer dust”. Another event that we are lucky to attend is the Eagan Marketfest. The Markfest has shown me just how diverse and active the Eagan community is. It is definitely an event that I will attend after our reign is over.
While our candidate process has already began, we would love more candidates. I truly believe that the Ambassador Program has something to offer to everyone who decides to join. For the last time, this is 2017-2018 Eagan Funfest Ambassador Jillian Anderson, signing off. Thanks for a great year!
