Eagan Kick-Start Rotary Club Partners with the YMCA in Eagan to provide a Shelter Box

New and young innovative club in Eagan making a difference

The newly formed Eagan Kick-Start Rotary Club partnered with the local YMCA and their Youth Leaders Club Program to each raise $250, which will be matched with a Rotary Grant for a total of $1,000 which will provide one Shelter Box to a family in need.

A “Shelter Box” is a large container packed with a large tent, sleeping bags, water purification, cooking aids and tools – enough to help support 10 people in emergency situations for 6 months or more. Every year, hundreds of thousands of families across the world lose everything when disasters strike. Often with no warning, families lose their homes, their possessions and their livelihoods. Every day they are faced with a battle for survival
