Eagan Resident Elected as Toastmasters' New Lieutenant Governor

Toastmasters is proud to announce Sharon Rollefson as the new Lieutenant Governor of Education and Training for District 6. Elected by the members, Rollefson supports club programming, coordinates training and plans and executes district conferences for more than 5,300 Toastmasters in the district looking to improve their leadership and speaking skills.
Rollefson is a strong leader in the district. Prior to this, she served as Lieutenant Governor of Marketing, Division Governor, Area Governor and in all club-level officer roles. She has earned several Toastmasters awards, including District 6 Division Governor of the Year (2010-2011), Rivers Division Area Governor of the Year (2008-2009) and Distinguished Toastmaster (2010), which is the highest Toastmasters award bestows, recognizing both communication and leadership skills.
Blues Communications Plus in Eagan serves as Rollefson’s home Toastmasters club. Rollefson joined Toastmasters in 2005 because it was a requirement for her teaching certificate. She has stayed in Toastmasters as a way to broaden her leadership and speaking skills.
District 6 is one of 82 Toastmasters districts; it comprises more than 280 corporate and community clubs in Minnesota and a portion of Ontario, Canada. To learn more about District 6, please visit: http://d6tm.org.
