Eagan Robbery: Gun Fired During Drug Deal, Police Say

Police say juveniles reported they were involved in an attempted drug exchange near Eagan High School when an armed suspect robbed them.

Eagan police officers responded to a report of juveniles who had been robbed at gunpoint near Eagan High School Tuesday. Police say the incident occurred in a parking lot at Northview Park at 9:35 a.m.

Three juvenile victims reported they were involved in an attempted drug exchange at the park, when one of the three suspects pointed a gun at them and demanded valuables. During the confrontation, it is believed a gunshot was fired in the air and the suspects left the area.

No one was injured and there is no ongoing threat to the public or students at the high school, police said in a news release.

Police believe the victims and suspects knew each other and the meeting was a planned event. Eagan investigators are still looking for the three suspects involved in the robbery.

The Eagan Police Department said they will continue to provide information regarding this incident as it becomes available.
