Aldi says its stores are designed with unique features to save shoppers time and money:
- A streamlined selection that "removes the guesswork" from shopping. "Stores don’t carry two dozen types of ketchup. The focus is carrying the best options at the best prices," the company says.
- A 25-cent grocery cart rental (the quarter is returned)
- Customers are asked to bag their own groceries
Aldi also says it sells random items on purpose; "A fleet of ALDI Finds are available when shoppers need them most, such as chainsaws in spring and swimming pools in summer."
