Eagan's Park Shelters Get Upgrades

The city of Eagan has replaced the sun shelter at O'Leary Park and is in the process of replacing the old Trapp Farm Park pavilion​n.

The city of Eagan has replaced the sun shelter at O'Leary Park, Eagan, MN 55123. Officials say the new shelter can fit between 15 and 25 people. O'Leary Park also has a charcoal grill, playground, hard court, and walking path.

Another one of Eagan's park shelters is being replaced this fall. After 30 years of weddings, birthday parties, family reunions, corporate shindigs and other events bringing people together, the Trapp Farm Park pavilion was demolished earlier this month.

It was one of the first park buildings in Eagan reach its longevity, according to a news release. With the end of an era comes the opportunity for a new pavilion to shine.

Construction for the new pavilion has begun up the hill and will see completion towards the end of November, weather permitting.
