Kirk Cousins Signs $66 Million Extension With Minnesota Vikings

EAGAN, MN — The Minnesota Vikings have signed Kirk Cousins to a two years, $66 million extension. The 31-year-old quarterback was on the last year of his original contract with the team.

In total, Cousins now has a $96 million deal with the team, with $61 million of that guarantee, ESPN reports. The deal becomes fully guaranteed in 2021.

Cousins led the Vikings to 10-6 last season. Minnesota defeated the New Orleans Saints in overtime during the wildcard round of the playoffs.

The Vikings lost to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round.
