Legislative Aftermath

Remember how Obama care was passed? Pushed through congress and then later we deal with all it's ramifications. That's how the end of the Minnesota state legislative session feels. We are just now beginning to learn of all the losses incurred to our freedoms.
Like a new Estate Tax, how in the world will farmers now pass on their family run business with a new 10% tax on anything over 1 million? We're one of only two states with a death tax!
The new Cigarette tax is being call extortion. $2.83 per pack.
The 2% income tax bracket increase is really a 28.5% jump for those lucky 54,000 Minnesotans, who will end up paying a billion dollars to the state so it can be re-distributed for "investments". Spending is always called "investments"
How about that internet tax, it's doing a real number on our job situation, Amazon just cut ties to it's affiliates who depend on that business.
All that taxing, you would think would be enough to balance the budget, right? Wrong. The DFL will actually spend much more (3+ billion) than they bring in(2.1 billion) and still not pay back the school shift right away.
With SD 51 completely in the democrats hands, there has been no voice for the Republicans here in Eagan and Burnsville. Our local DFL legislators have been blogging and tooting their horns like they just solved all our problems. Well, what about our Freedoms and our Liberty. Losing those, is the biggest problem of all.  Jeff,  SD 51 GOP Chair.

Words of Wisdom: I would rather be exposed to the inconveniences attending too much liberty than those attending too small a degree of it.
