Major Graffiti Damage at Thresher Fields Park

Police seeking suspects; offering $500 for information that leads to the arrest

An employee discovered the graffiti on Feb. 7. Now, the is hoping the public will be able to offer information to help catch those responsible for the damage.

According to police, "The Eagan Citizen’s Crime Prevention Association (ECCPA)
is offering a reward of up to $500 for information leading to the arrest of these
individuals."

"We do see graffiti periodically, but this is unique because of the significant amount [of damage]," Danielle Anselment, Eagan public information officer, said.

According to Anselment, this is a serious crime and the suspect or suspects face a charge of felony criminal damage to property.

Superintendent of Parks Paul Olson said it won't get cleaned up until spring, or until it warms up more.

"We don't like to leave it, and we do want to address it as soon as we can," Olson said.

The parks department will have to power wash, and then prime and repaint the entire building.
