Martial Arts Training Through ISD 196 Community Ed

ISD 196 will again offer an introductory course in Aikido. This martial art does not rely on strength--in fact muscular strength gets in the way. It is sometimes referred to as 'self-defense without revenge'. No punching, no kicking, no bashing--no fooling! Join us for the 6 week session and learn how to protect yourself without adding violence to a situation, how to make your point without making a scene. You will learn how to fall without injury, a valuable skill in itself with snow and ice season not far off (sorry..). Course AAiki-F2 meets at Blackhawk Middle School starting on Nov 7, at 6.30 to 8 PM. See the listing in the on-line or print version of the Community Ed catalog.
