MINNESOTA LOCAL SIGNS BOOK DEAL FOR NEW YOUNG ADULT NOVEL

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, MAY 10, 2016– Popular Young Adult author, Jenna-Lynne Duncan just signed a two book deal with Clean Teen Publishing for a new Young Adult title, BLUE TIDE. BLUE TIDE will be released Winter 2017 and Duncan plans to have a release party at a local Minnesota bookstore before departing on a World Wide Tour for BLUE TIDE. Duncan graduated from the University of St. Thomas and currently resides in Eagan. Her writing career started while a student at St. Thomas, when she signed a contract for her first Young Adult book, Hurricane, which is set around Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans.

BLUE TIDE has already received a lot of buzz online. Duncan entered a writing contest in the fall which landed her an agent. Only months later, she got a book deal. Seeing the deal posting on Publishers Marketplace was surreal for her, Duncan says. And with a sequel in the works, there is no doubt BLUE TIDE is slated for success.

“I’m really excited about BLUE TIDE. I’ve wanted more pirates in YA for a while now and I believe that it will be the next big trend in young adult fiction. Most importantly, BLUE TIDE is diverse. We need more Middle Eastern and Muslim characters in books and I am so fortunate to be able to provide that,” says Ms. Duncan.
