Music, Arts & Drama (MAD) Camp at Advent UMC

Have you ever wondered what would happen if the story of Moses never existed? Or if Moses was raised by an evil villain and never received his calling from God? Join us for MAD Camp this year to find out the answers to these questions and more!

In celebration of our 10th year, this year’s MAD Camp with present a full-length musical called Moses Exodus, script by Eve Burdick, lyrics by Ariel Johnson, music by Alec Iorio, and edited by Ariel Johnson. With a full-length musical planned, an improved tech schedule and a superhero-themed curriculum, this camp is sure to be MAD! Campers will be able to choose their electives once they’re registered.

Cast auditions & registration deadline is April 9: Auditions for those wishing to participate in the cast will be held after service starting at 11am. This date is also the registration deadline for anyone wishing to act in the musical.

Tech registration deadline is July 1: This is the registration deadline for those wishing to participate in tech.

The show will perform on two occasions – Friday, August 18, at 7pm and Sunday, August 20 at 10am. Cast members are also invited to sing on Saturday, August 19th, at Advent Cares locations.

MAD Camp is for students entering Grades 4-10 (Fall 2017) at Advent UMC, 3945 Lexington Ave. South in Eagan. The Camp starts Sunday, August 13 from 11am-4pm then continues Monday, August 14-Friday, August 18 from 9am-4:30pm. Before Care from 8-9am is available for $5/day.
