National Night Out 2019: Find Your Event In Eagan

EAGAN, MN — City agencies and neighborhoods around Eagan will participate in the 36th annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 5-30-9 p.m. National Night Out is a crime and drug prevention event held in communities around the country.

More than 200 neighborhoods and groups in Eagan will turn their porch lights on and host block parties and cookouts in support of National Night Out. Joining them will be local law enforcement and first responders.

National Night Out is celebrated in many different ways, including block parties, cookouts, potluck suppers, ice cream socials and games for children

Sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), National Night Out aims at bringing awareness to crime prevention, generating support for and participation in local anti-crime programs, boosting neighborhood pride and partnerships with law enforcement, and sending a message to criminals that neighborhoods are fighting back.
