New Ambassadors on the Go Representing Eagan Funfest

Eagan Funfest Ambassadors Ashley Harwell and Leah Hed Blog about the Hopkins Raspberry Festival and Minneapolis Aquatennial Coronations

Hopkins Raspberry Festival Coronation: On July 16 my fellow Eagan Funfest Ambassadors and I attended the Hopkins coronation and ball. Before the coronation they had some food and drink available for everyone, which I thought was very kind. After the coronation we got to just hangout and dance at the ball; and Megan got second place in the miss congeniality musical chairs! Throughout the night I enjoyed meeting the royalty and ambassadors from other cities, and just spending time with my fellow ambassadors. It was a great first event as an ambassador and I look forward to many more! 2015-2016 Eagan Funfest Ambassador Ashley Harwell Minneapolis Aquatennial Coronation: We were on our way to the Aquatennial! We split up into two cars because we had 6 Ambassadors. This year the Aquatennial was really special because our 2014-2015 Eagan Ambassador Kari Giles was running for Queen of the Lakes. When we got there it was very crowded! But luckily we found Kari!! Karen brought her flowers to wish her good luck! Kari told us that there were 49 candidates. I still felt that Kari had a really good chance because she was an amazing Ambassador and she is really nice!! Once we got our seats, the MC's told everyone what the Candidates have been doing during the past week. It sounded like fun!! The Candidates introduced themselves and they told all about themselves and where they came from. Then the MC's talked about the past years of the Aquatennial Queens and Princesses. Now time for the Crowning. One Queen, two Princesses. When the two Princesses were crowned, I was really nervous for Kari. When the Queen was crowned, I felt happy for her but sad for Kari. Later I learned that the Queen was Kari's roommate. When we got to see Kari again, she was happy but sad at the same time. Kari told us that she had a good time being a candidate for the Aquatennial. So far being one of the Eagan Funfest Ambassadors is SO much fun!! I am looking forward to what comes next. I was thrilled and surprised to be crowned Ambassador and I plan to make the most of this special year. 2015-2016 Eagan Funfest Ambassador Leah Hed
