New Eagan Funfest Ambassadors Crowned

Hello, this is Sylvia Berger. I was recently selected to be one of Eagan Funfest Ambassadors. I was really nervous but excitement overpowered it. The night of the coronation was really fun. We got to “mingle” with other royalty. Everyone was very supportive when we spoke and I’m so grateful for that. Our first event was the Hopkins Raspberry Festival coronation. It went from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm - WAY past my bedtime. The whole thing was pretty fun because after the coronation we had a ball (more like dance party). When it came time for the Ms. Congeniality musical chairs game, we were at bit scared because Megan is NOT an aggressive person. She ended up getting SECOND place! Who knew? Next we had our first parade as Ambassadors. We had a great time and sung a lot. After the parade, we basically had a concert on the flatbed as we were taking the float apart. .Anyway, I’m super excited, being with this AWESOME group of girls for a whole year. See you next time Sylvia Berger 2015 – 2016 Eagan Funfest Ambassador This is Ashley McCann reporting as a newly crowned Eagan Funfest Ambassador. It has been super fun so far! We have been to one parade and two coronations. The one parade we’ve been in, is the Leprechaun parade at Rosemont. It was a blast. The kids were so much fun to see and hear them saying princesses while pointing at us. I also liked walking around and talking with people and meeting other Royalty. After the parade I met a Brownie from the Girl Scout Unit. She was so excited to meet me and gave be a super big hug. We also went to the Hopkins Coronation and I got to go to my 1st Ball. I liked hearing the speeches and seeing Megan compete in the Miss Congeniality musical chairs. She was very aggressive to get to the chairs and she took second place. The last event we’ve been to is the Aquatennial Coronation where last year’s Eagan Ambassador Kari Giles competed to be one of the Aquatennial Ambassadors. I was sad she was not selected. The coronation was a huge production and the candidate experience seems super fun based on what the MCs described. It has been so much fun so far and I’m happy I tried to become an Eagan Funfest Ambassador. I can’t wait for the rest of the year! Ashley McCann 2015 – 2016 Eagan Funfest Ambassador
