NEW EVENTS COMING TO THE EAGAN SENIOR CENTER

The Eagan Senior Board has some new events scheduled in the Senior Room at the Eagan Community Center

The Eagan Senior Board is inviting older adults in our community to new, upcoming events in the Lone Oak Room in the Community Center. 1501 Central Parkway.

On Wednesday, January 28 the Board has planned a “Welcome to the New Year” and celebration of the first 13 years of the Senior center. This will be a morning with old and new friends to revisit and share the history with pictures from the beginning in 2001. Also bring a dish to share for the Pot Luck Lunch that follows. The Party begins at 10 a.m.

On Monday, February 2,, at 1 p.m. the seniors are featuring a Movie Matinee with free popcorn and lemonade. Laugh or cry along with friends that afternoon as we view an old or new movie.

On Friday, February 13 from 3-5 p.m., celebrate Valentine’s Day at the Chocolate & Hearts event at the Ames Performing Arts Center in Burnsville. This occasion is sponsored by South of the River Recreators Senior Centers. and includes appetizers, games,chocolate fountains, entertainment and more. The cost is $12 and you need to register by Friday, Feb. 6 by calling 651-675-5500.

On Tuesday, March 10 there will be a coach bus trip to the St.Paul Union Deport for a guided tour and buffet lunch at Christos. This trip also includes a gangster tour at Landmark Center. The cost is $39 and need to register by Fri. Feb. 27. For more information or to register for events, call the Eagan Park & Rec. Department at 651-675-5500.

The deadline to purchase Metro Dining Cards from the seniors in the Lone Oak Room is February 1. The cost is $24.
