Funfest Ambassador Madeline Cherel Reviews Highlights of Year as an Ambassador

The year started on the evening of July tenth. Seven candidates anxiously waited to hear their name called. Madeline Cherel, Julia Carstens, Aaron Kabat, Jillian Anderson, and Lauren Foss all stood on the stage waving and smiling while being showered in applause. Everyone wanted pictures with the new additions to the royal family. They already knew this was going to be a great year.
September ninth, thirty-one days after being crowned, the ambassadors woke up bright and early to meet at the Eagan community center for the unforgettable Inver Grove Heights parade. It was a beautiful day for a parade... not too hot not too cold. They socialized with the other communities at the pre-parade breakfast while eating delicious cinnamon rolls and then made their way to the line up by Simley High School. The ambassadors smiled even more as children pointed up at the float excitedly saying “look, there are princesses!”
January sixth, one hundred eighty-four days after being crowned, the ambassadors pinned in their crowns and sashes as they headed to the Junior winter carnival coronation. They were excited to welcome new royal members just as the other communities did for them. Two candidates were from the wonderful city of Eagan as well, so their fingers were crossed as they waited patiently to here a wonderful alumni’s name being called.

March twelfth, two hundred forty-five days after being crowned, the ambassadors tested out their microphones as they prepared for the Eagan TV filming. They had been preparing the answers to the questions they received the week before. They were all very nervous and excited to be on TV. With smiles glued to their faces they answered all the questions with perfect poise.
Their year representing Eagan was filled with laughter and fun. How might I know, you ask. Because I am an Eagan Ambassador submitting her final blog about her wonderful year volunteering and representing the city of Eagan.
