Sen. Al Franken to Visit Eagan School
U.S. Sen. Al Franken (D–Minn.) will be in Burnsville and Eagan on Thursday to meet with local education officials and teachers.

U.S. Sen Al Franken (D) is paying a visit to at least two District 191 schools on Thursday—including the in Eagan.
Franken plans to meet with local education officials and teachers to gather their input on the reform of the federal "No Child Left Behind" act, which the U.S. Senate will debate later this year, according to a press release issued by Franken's office. Franken is a member of the Senate Education Committee that is currently working to reform the "No Child Left Behind" legislation.
School District 191 spokesperson Ruth Dunn said the senator will hold a public listening session at the alternative high school, beginning at 3:30 p.m. Franken will also visit Burnsville High School earlier in the day.
