Something in Common: Eagan Funfest Ambassadors Mingle with Seniors at The Commons Senior Prom

Lots of Crowns, Gowns, and Fun

Hello Eagan! Eagan Funfest Ambassador Mia Eisenberg here! The Ambassadors recently went to the Winter Carnival Junior Royalty Coronation, as you may know from past posts. Meghan Harwell, 2014 Queen of the Snowflakes, 2012-2013 Eagan Funfest Ambassador handed down her crown. We cheered extra loud. I remember my first candidate event, the Candidate Potluck. Meghan was there and encouraged us to introduce ourselves to the other candidates, she made a great first impression. I was shy around new people then and, if you've met me, you would know I have changed so much. I will always remember that one day, where my entire journey started. Anyway, congratulations to the new St. Paul Winter Carnival Queen of the Snowflakes, Nicole, Princess of Ice, Sydney, and Princess of Snow, Maija! The Winter Carnival Royal Family is lucky to have you all. The Ambassadors also attended a Senior Prom at the Commons on Marice. We served cookies, and ate them, danced, and talked with the senior citizens. I even saw my sister's second grade teacher there with her dad. While we were dancing, a woman asked me if I would dance with her dad. Her dad was a resident at the Commons and was a fabulous dancer, I spun a lot. Since it was a prom there had to be a prom king and queen. Payton, another Ambassador, gave the king his flowers when he was crowned. It was a great night.
