Nonstop Election Coverage begins October 31

Getting ready to vote? Looking for one source for local candidate and election information? Eagan Television (E-TV), your community television provider, is proud to present “Eagan Votes 2014.” The project gives voters the opportunity to learn more about local candidates on TV and online before casting their votes, including non-stop election programming on cable channel 20 beginning Friday, October 31. On election night, watch E-TV for the most current local results after the polls have closed.
Before voting on Election Day, Eagan residents will have the opportunity to learn more about the candidates through E-TV’s “Meet Your Local Candidates” program. Sixteen candidates on the ballot in Eagan participated. Candidates were given three minutes—completely unedited—to explain in their own words why they should be elected. The program began airing October 18 on cable channel 20 and individual videos are also on E-TV’s Election YouTube channel (www.youtube.com/Eaganvotes).
“With ‘Eagan Votes 2014,’ we are able to offer Eagan residents direct access to candidate messages and information through a variety of methods, including on our community television channels and online on our YouTube channel,” said Tom Garrison, Executive Director of E-TV. “With easy access to election information, citizens can empower themselves to be informed voters.”
