Winter Carnival Royalty Candidate Connection with Eagan Ambassadors

Eagan Funfest Ambassador Leah Hed Blogs about Winter Carnival Winter Carnival Junior Royalty Coronation Event

We had so much fun at the Winter Carnival Junior Royalty Coronation on Sunday 10th January. I knew someone who was a candidate, Izzy Bui, my good friend from school and previous Funfest Ambassador. The candidates all wore beautiful blue and purple gowns and were from all over the Twin Cities. When we got seated, the emcees were very funny and took lots of “selfies”. One of the emcees used to be Klondike Kate and she was very entertaining. Klondike Kate is a part of the Winter Carnival royal family and a new Kate is elected each year. The entire royal family introduced themselves on stage and gave goodbye speeches for the three wonderful young ladies who were ending their reign – Nicole, Sydney and Maija. The farewell messages and slideshow were very sweet and fun to watch because all three girls had such great memories of their year to share. When it came time to crown the three lucky girls as Queen of Snowflakes, Princess of Ice and Princess of Snow, sadly Izzy was not crowned but she was very happy for her friends who were crowned. After the coronation, we were served cake and we took photos with the new members of the Winter Carnival Royal Family. I am looking forward to spending more time with them at the St Paul Winter Carnival Parade on Saturday 30th January at 2pm. I hope to see you there for a great day out! 2015-2016 Eagan Funfest Ambassador Leah Hed
