Rash of Vehicle Burglaries Reported In Eden Prairie: Blotter

Thefts

  • A 43-year-old Prior Lake man told police someone broke into his taxi while it was parked in the Jerry’s Foods lot between 6 p.m. Dec. 6 and 5 a.m. Dec. 7. The man shares the taxi with a co-worker. He left the vehicle in the parking lot for the co-worker to pick up. The vehicle was found with a driver-side window open and a $25 block iPod docking system missing.
  • A 44-year-old Eden Prairie man reported that someone broke out the window on his vehicle and stole a $200 GPS. The theft happened between 3:30 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7:15 a.m. Dec. 7 while the vehicle was parked in the 11000 block of Anderson Lakes Parkway. Damage to the window was estimated at $250.
  • A 23-year-old Eden Prairie man found his front passenger window open after his car had been parked in the 13000 block of Valley View Road between 9:40 p.m. Dec. 6 and 7:45 a.m. Dec. 7. The glove compartment was open, documents had been removed and an iPhone charger was missing.
  • Someone stole a $1,000 50-inch flatscreen TV and a $200 DVD player from the Chestnut Townhouse Apartments community room. The theft happened between Dec. 1 and Dec. 4.
  • A 56-year-old Eden Prairie man told police someone stole a GPS and Porta-Jump vehicle starter from an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 18000 block of Twilight Trail between 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Dec. 6.
