• Hennepin County weighs cuts to library hours (eplocalnews.org) — Hennepin County is considering cutting hours at Eden Prairie Library as part of its 2027 budget, potentially shortening days while keeping all branches open. Commissioners Debbie Goettel and Heather Edelson, whose districts include Eden Prairie, say they're balancing federal funding cuts, rising costs, and property tax pressures, and are asking residents to weigh in online before any changes are finalized.
   

• Eden Prairie pilot highlights keys to successful bioretention basin projects (stormwater.com) — Eden Prairie is using a problematic bioretention basin in the Stable Path development to test better designs, plant choices, and maintenance practices for its 70 city-owned basins. City staff, residents, and the developer collaborated on a pilot that compared native plant plugs to seed, tackled drainage issues, and is now shaping new citywide standards for future stormwater projects and developer oversight.
   

• Minnesota Bankers PAC Routes Funds Through Affiliates (legis1.com) — Eden Prairie is home base for the Minnesota Bankers Political Action Committee, which filed its latest federal report from the city showing no direct contributions to candidates so far in 2026. Instead, the PAC has routed nearly all of its $26,000 in disbursements to affiliated committees while focusing on banking-related legislative priorities like fraud prevention and securities regulation.
