- Someone broke into the home of a 57-year-old man and 59-year-old woman sometime between 10:15 p.m. Sept. 20 and 7:15 a.m. Sept. 23. Before they left, the couple had locked all the doors on the home, located in the 10000 block of Bluff Road. They arrived to find the garage door open and two cars missing from inside—a 2008 Mercedes and a 2002 Mercedes. Keys for both vehicles were left in the ignition. A door into the house from the deck was open and its glass was smashed. The basement and front door were also open. A combination Apple computer and monitor, worth $1,650, was missing from inside, along with cash and several pieces of jewelry. The victims are putting together a list of other items that may have been stolen. On Sept. 25, Minneapolis police notified Eden Prairie that the 2002 Mercedes had been recovered on the 3000 block of Blaisdell Avenue South, along with some of the items that were stolen from the home. The 2008 Mercedes was also recovered. Details on when that was recovered were not available.
