Eden Prairie to Host ‘Summer Series’ Skateboard Contest Sat.
Skateboarders can win a new deck at the free competition.

The the 3rd Lair Skatepark and Skateshop Summer Series is making a stop in Eden Prairie.
The skateboarding contest takes place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Round Lake Skate Plaza.
The competition is divided into four divisions—ages 8 and younger, 9 to 12, 13 and older and expert. Riders compete in a three-minute, three-person “jam qualifier” with the top four riders in each division advancing to the finals. In the finals, each rider competes in two one-minute runs.
First place in each division wins a free deck. The top three finishers in each division receive a “golden ticket” to participate in the Summer Series Finals at the Minnesota State Fair. Anyone who wins first in their age group at two Summer Series events must compete in the expert division.
Entry is free. Helmets are required.
