EPHS Senior is Semifinalist in National Achievement Scholarship Program
Roman Gradford was recognized by the program for promising black students for his high PSAT/NMSQT scores.

Roman Gradford, a senior at Eden Prairie High School, was recently chosen as a semifinalist in the 49th annual National Achievement Scholarship Program.
The program was started in 1964 to recognize academically promising black American students, according to a press release from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
Gradford was among the 1,600 semifinalists selected nationwide. Semifinalist status is determined by program entrants’ Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test scores.

If Gradford is selected to advance to the finalist level, he will be in the running to receive one of 700 National Achievement $2,500 Scholarships or one of 100 Achievement Scholarship awards underwritten by corporate and business sponsors.
