The Police Department building will be open for tours through the jail including a chance for children to get fingerprinted and meet a “jailbird”. Visitors can also take a peek into our 911 dispatch center, meet our Emergency Response Unit and try on their equipment, watch a K9 demonstration with Brix and his handler Officer Jess Irmiter and examine a crime scene with our Crime Scene Tech Unit.
The event is free and includes hotdogs, root beer and popcorn. Parking is available at the City Center parking lot off of Mitchell Road and street parking along Scenic Heights Road.
