The SPCO presents a program exploring the evolution of the Baroque sonata and concerto, from early innovators Salomone Rossi and Arcangelo Corelli to the fiendish invention of Antonio Vivaldi and Johann Sebastian Bach. The program offers selections from two essential Baroque opuses, Bach's The Musical Offering and Vivaldi's L'Estro Armonico, as well as one of the era's overlooked gems, Giuseppe Torelli's Violin Concerto in C Minor.
Performance are 10:30am and 8pm.
