Free Event Offers Opportunity to Learn About Online Public School

Looking for a school environment with fewer distractions, greater flexibility, more one-on-one time, and a personalized learning pace?

Community activities and field trips are just a part of what you'll find when you attend online public school at Minnesota Connections Academy. Learn more by attending a free Information Session in Eden Prairie on Monday, July 17, from 6:30-8pm, at the Courtyard Minneapolis Eden Prairie, 11391 Viking Dr.

Enrollment for Minnesota Connections Academy's 2017-18 school year is underway and families interested in learning about the tuition-free, K-12 online program and its individualized approach to education are encouraged to attend the event. Meet with faculty, hear how the program works, explore its curriculum, and learn how to enroll. Other topics include: How teachers interact with students in a virtual environment, personalized learning opportunities, college preparation, community experiences and socialization, the role of the parent or other Learning Coach, and the use of technology. Minnesota Connections Academy is a state-approved program of the Minnesota Transitions School, an authorized Minnesota charter school. More than 2,000 students across the state are currently served by the school's 80 full-time faculty members, which includes state-certified teachers, school guidance counselors, special education professionals, and administrative staff.
