Full-On Cry Alert: Watch How She Said Baby Makes 3

Millions of Americans have dabbed their eyes – unless their hearts really are carved from stone – at the precious moment when Mom told Dad.

Jessica Devins says she and her husband are “over the moon” with joy about the baby they’re expecting in June.

So are many of the more than 1.6 million Americans who eavesdropped on the big moment Devins shared with her husband the results of a couple of pregnancy tests she’d taken.

But when she suggested they go to Pizzeria Lola in Minneapolis – “We love that place,” she apparently cajoled her husband – it was understood they would duck into a photo booth for more pictures chronicling their romance. They’ve been doing that since their first date.

They mug for the camera. Slowly, she raises a small white hat on which she’d written one small but powerfully big – as in life-changing big – word: “Baby.”

“What?” he says tentatively. “For real?”

“Yeah,” she giggles excitedly. “For real.”

Joyful tears, tender kisses and giggles full of promise of a life not yet born follow. Penetrating looks of love – the kind that betray the greatest loves of all time – fairly leap through the screens of computers, tablets and mobile devices to tug at the hearts of tens of thousands of people who’ve viewed a video of the moment that Devins posted on YouTube.

We warned you. Grab the Kleenex.

Devins posted the video on Christmas Eve, perhaps not knowing the gift it would become to the world.

Someone posted, “Lucky man, got a family for Christmas.”

So, in some respects, did we all.
