Biggest highlight: Quinn is in his first year coaching the team, so he said he’s proud “how hard the girls are working in practice and buying into the team system.” But the team’s had big highlights on the field, too. The Eagles upset 2011 Class AA champion Wayzata in a thrilling 2-1 overtime victory.
Key athletes: Quinn said the team has been able to rely on its seniors and Captains Lauren Bren, Coursey Edwards and Kristen O'Brien. He also noted goals scored by younger players, such as sophomore April Bockin. But he added that the more important part is how well the team is playing together. “To single out an individual would really be the wrong thing.”
