New Eden Prairie Police Dog, 'Jace,' Graduates from K-9 Academy

Eden Prairie’s newest recruit is ready to go! “Jace,” a 1-year-old German Shepherd, and his partner, Officer Jenny Schnickel, graduated from the St. Paul Police Department’s K-9 Academy on Thursday, the city announced Tuesday. During the 12-week course, the dogs and officers worked on agility, obedience, building searches, apprehension, tracking and article searches and other skills. Jace and Schnickel are now back in Eden Prairie with the department’s other dog team, Officer Jess Irmiter and “Brix.”
