The Hennepin County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for a vacancy on the Lower Minnesota River Watershed District Board, due to the expiration of Ed Schlampp’s term of office on March 20 (he is not seeking reappointment).

A Lower Minnesota River Watershed District Board member may not be a public officer of the county, state or federal government and must be a resident of the district, which in Hennepin County includes portions of Bloomington and Eden Prairie. Board members serve three-year terms.

The deadline for applications is Thursday, May 23. Interviews for the vacancy will be held at the next board committee meeting.
