Prairie Village Pet Hospital Tops List of Thyroid Test Prices

Families often love their pets like children—but also like children, they can be expensive.

A Tuesday KARE 11 report shined a spotlight on one of the pricier aspects of pet ownership: vet bills. The TV station compared prices of seven procedures at eight clinics in the Twin Cities, along with one in St. Cloud and another in Mankato.

Prairie Village Pet Hospital was the costliest when it came to T4 thyroid tests. The $60 it charges is the highest among the clinics on the list. But it was near the bottom of the list for procedures like a distemper vaccination.
