Soppeland Chosen as New Police Sergeant
Lonnie Soppeland has been with the Eden Prairie Police Department since 2005.

The Eden Prairie Police Department has a new sergeant.
Lonnie Soppeland was appointed sergeant effective April 23, according to a Police Department blog post. He replaces Sgt. Maggie Munro, who retired last week.
Soppeland has been with the department since 2005—serving as a patrol officer, Emergency Response Unit team member, field training officer and reserve coordinator.

He’ll spend six weeks in field training with other sergeants and will start working on his own in early June.
