Supervalu Changes Leadership Team

Two executives are leaving as part of the company's ongoing changes.

Supervalu announced Wednesday that it’s reshuffling its executive leadership team.

Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Sherry Smith will leave the company at the end of May. Smith, who has spent 26 years with Supervalu and been CFO since December 2010, will be replaced by a CFO who will be announced later.

Supervalu also named Karla Robertson as executive vice president for legal, effective immediately. She’s taking over from Todd Sheldon, executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. He’ll stay through May to help the company with its year-end filings.
