WATCH: Eden Prairie Police Urge Residents to ‘Run. Hide. Fight.’

A program out of Houston helps people plan what to do if faced with a shooter. Local police recommend that residents check out the group's video.

Eden Prairie police are sharing a video to teach people what to do when faced with a workplace shooting.

Ready Houston, a Houston group that’s an extension of FEMA’s www.ready.gov program, created a video called Run. Hide. Fight.

“The advice is simple: when confronted with a gunman, the best option is to attempt to escape or evacuate. If you can’t get out safely, find a place to hide. As a last resort, and only if your life is in danger, prepare to fight,” the Eden Prairie Police Department wrote in a Tuesday blog post about the video.
