• Braemar Arena hits frozen ground, delays east rink opening (kare11.com) — Edina's Braemar Arena has hit frozen ground during construction, pushing the new east rink's opening from late October to January 1 and tightening already scarce ice time. City staff and the Edina Hockey Association say they're working with nearby rinks and longer hours to ease the crunch, but local hockey and figure skating families should expect schedule compromises this season.
