$40M 'Brita Filter' on the Way for Mpls. Water Plant in Fridley
The Hogwarts-like waterworks on East River Road provides water to several cities, including Golden Valley and as far away as Edina, according to KSTP-TV.

Will pouring $40 million into the City of Minneapolis water treatment plant in Fridley make Mississippi River water taste even better? KSTP-TV reports that's the idea behind an upcoming upgrade:
"The Fridley Filtration Plant provides all of the drinking water for Minneapolis, Golden Valley, New Hope, Crystal, Columbia Heights, Hilltop, and Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, as well as some of the drinking water in Bloomington and Edina. ...
"The Fridley Filtration Plant is kind of like a giant Brita -- that purifies 50 million gallons of river water every day, and needs a new filter."
