FRIDLEY, MN — A woman was shot while driving near Interstate 694 in Fridley on Saturday night, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
The shooting was reported at about 9:03 p.m. May 9 near Interstate 694 and University Avenue NE, officials said.
According to investigators, the woman was driving north on University Avenue NE when she was shot by someone in another vehicle.
The SUV then left the road before stopping near the Interstate 694 ramp, officials said.
The woman was taken to a local hospital in critical but stable condition, according to authorities.
A girl who was also in the SUV was not injured.
No arrests had been made as of Sunday, officials said.
The Fridley Police Department, Columbia Heights Police Department, Minnesota State Patrol and Allina EMS responded to the shooting report.
The case remains under investigation by Fridley police, the Minnesota State Patrol and the Anoka County Sheriff's Office.
