The 2013 Clean Air Choice Biodiesel Poster Contest for Minnesota 5th and 6th grade classes is now open. Vehicle emissions are the single largest source of air pollution in Minnesota. Using cleaner-burning, locally produced alternative fuels like biodiesel reduces those emissions, which means healthy air – and lungs – for all Minnesotans. We are looking for creative students to help us demonstrate how biodiesel helps protect clean air and our health. Participating classes receive a one period lesson on air quality and health, and students take part in both classroom and statewide poster contests. Prizes included! Does this sound like a fun and educational project for your students? If the answer is yes, please contact Jon Hunter at jon.hunter@lungmn.org or 651.268.7601.
This educational opportunity is sponsored by the Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council and administered by the American Lung Association in Minnesota.
