AMF Maple Lanes Bowler Wins $25K at Vegas Tourney
Dan Reber, who bowls in Fridley, placed 2nd in national tournament.
Dan Reber won big in Las Vegas recently—bowling.
His home bowling alley is in Fridley, but the Crystal resident was in Las Vegas for the AMF National In-League Tournament, where he placed second in Division A.
That was worth a prize of $25,000—awarded in the form of a giant check. "Most people don't ever see $25,000," he told Northwest Community Television Channel 12. He's been bowling since he was 11 years old, Reber, 64, told Channel 12 before the tournament.

"He was the guy everyone was looking at to probably win the thing," Chad Dodson of Towanda, IL, told The Pantagraph in Bloomington, IL. Dodson beat Reber in the final for the top prize of $50,000.
"I had so much fun," Reber told Channel 12. "I'd do it again and I will give this a shot again next year."
