Community Corner

Banfill-Locke Family Art Sunday

Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts (BLCA) is pleased to host the 2013 Family Art Sunday.   This annual event invites members of the community to come to BLCA to explore the Center and the arts.  The event is free and encourages families to spend time together exploring their creative side.

In addition to a treasure hunt and free light refreshments, members of the Children's Book Illustrators Guild will  lead a number of mini art workshops geared toward children and their families. Professional children's illustrators will show kids how to create sidewalk art, design their own storybook and draw monsters, animals, and more. This is a great opportunity to experience the creative side of children's art.   Additional art making will also be available.

The event takes place inside and outside the historic Banfill-Locke Center for the Arts Building.  No RSVP is necessary.  All ages are welcome.

For more information call 763-574-1850 or email info@banfill-locke.org, or visit us at www.banfill-locke.org.
