Beer Duty, Anyone? Fridley 49er Days Needs More Volunteers

Fridley's 49er Days festival is still looking for a few good volunteers. Well, more than a few. The festival runs from Thursday, June 21 through Saturday, June 23 (with the softball tournament extending into Sunday). Sign up today!

• 40 volunteers for 49er Days Parade, Thursday. Contact Pete Borman at Peter.Borman@centurylink.com.

• 26 volunteers for the inflatables, Saturday, June 23, for the 3:15–6 p.m. and 5:45 p.m.–dark shifts. Duties include checking for wrist bands and tickets and general safety issues. Contact Dan Gourde at 763-571-5768 or  sgourde@aol.com.

• Multiple volunteers for various beer-sales shifts at the softball tournament: Friday and Saturday, noon–10 p.m.; Sunday, 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Contact Greg Ackerman at gpackerman@comcast.net
