Town hall meetings are an open forum. We shouldn't have to pre-register our questions.
Dear City Council Members,
It has been brought to my attention that you would like the questions for the town hall meeting e-mailed ahead of time. Town hall meetings are an open forum and we should not have to pre- register our questions. I think this request could be misconstrued as an attempt to control and lead the conversation. How can we ask questions if we don't know the answers to the first few? This request voids the ability to ask lead in questions with follow up answers. Also this move appears like you would like an opportunity to pick and choose the questions or perhaps have them reviewed ahead of time by legal council.
